Paradise Pointe Assisted Living & Memory Care is celebrating three years of serving the Ormond Beach community with a special anniversary event.
Models & Milestones will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, with showtime at 2:30 p.m. Residents and their families will take the spotlight as models, styled in partnership with Peppers Boutique Ormond, celebrate confidence, connection and elevated living at every stage of life. The event will include fundraising for Paradise Pointe’s Alzheimer’s Association campaign, too.
Paradise Pointe, 350 Clyde Morris Blvd., is nurse-owned and operated, led by Darlinda Copeland, RN, MHA, CEO.
Copeland started Paradise Pointe with 35 years of healthcare experience, including her role as chief operating officer of a local hospital, to create a senior living community where clinical excellence and compassionate care coexist.
But the inspiration behind Paradise Pointe also comes from Copeland’s personal journey. Walking alongside her own parents through the aging process — providing care, advocating for dignity and navigating the complexities of senior health— she saw firsthand the need for a different kind of senior living community. One where clinical excellence and heartfelt compassion could coexist, where residents were known personally, treated with respect and supported in living lives filled with purpose and meaning. That vision became Paradise Pointe.
From writing the business plan and purchasing the land to securing local support, Paradise Pointe was built with the input of physicians, nurses, healthcare professionals and community leaders who shared Copeland’s vision. The community is locally owned and operated, reflecting the values and needs of the families it serves.
Following the passing of Copeland’s parents — Don Gammon in 2022 and Barbara Gammon in 2025 — Paradise Pointe established the Barbara Gammon Nursing Scholarship Fund to support nursing staff in advancing their education, reinforcing Copeland’s belief that investing in caregivers strengthens the care residents receive.
